Ten reasons to talk to a tree


 

10. Most of them have thick skin so they can take it when you need to get something off your chest.

9. They are good listeners. Well, at least they don’t just stand there waiting for their turn to speak like I tend to.

8. you can take a nap in their shade

7. Because most will outlive us they have probably heard it all and in their silence say what we need to most to hear.

6. They can turn sunlight into energy, carbon dioxide into growth, and make water run uphill. Maybe I should just listen.

5. They are pretty and often big and the longer I talk to them the smaller I and my problems seem.

4. If an animal can find within a tree a home, then maybe an idea echoed amongst its leaves can find a place to take root and develop.

3. Supposedly Newton learned about gravity from fruit falling from a tree even though I think the more important lesson he learned was that sometimes trees even provide snacks!

2. Much better than walking around talking to something in your ear or hand.
